Antoine's Extraordinary Journey Part 5 The other Freedom Fighters were all eager to meet Rod's twin. Sally was overwhelmed. "Two warlocks!" she said, "Now this is what we need! Wow!" She paced in excitement. Sonic was quite calm with the whole thing. He simply shrugged and ran around for a while. Rotor just stood there, shocked. Bunnie was very excited. "Oh mah stars! This is exciting! Ah'm so glad for you!" she exclaimed. She engulfed Rod into a big hug. Rod emerged and rubbed his back. "Better not try that with your robotic arm, Bunnie," he said, "because that hurt!" Tails was Rod's best friend, and when he heard the news, he did somersaults in the air. "Wow!" he said. When Antoine was told, he turned up his nose. He didn't want anyone else joining the Freedom Fighters, let alone Rod. "I do not want you here! Pleaze leave!" he shouted to Rod. Rod was taken aback. He turned to Freelance and conferenced. "Could I stay with you?" Rod asked. "Sure. I wouldn't want to live here with this maniac," he said, gesturing to Antoine. It was settled. Rod turned back to 'that maniac,' Antoine. "Hey, Ant! Cool down! I'll leave. But I'll still visit!" he giggled. Antoine nodded in satisfaction and walked away. Rod dashed over to Sonic. "Sonic! Uh... I don't know how to say this, but I'm going to stay with Freelance." he said and turned to Freelance. "Hey, where do you live anyway?" Freelance smiled and snapped his fingers. He, Rod and Sonic were then teleported to the dark room once more. "Where are we?" Sonic wondered aloud. Freelance turned to him. "This is where I live. It's way underground. About a half a mile." he said. "Half a mile?!" Sonic exclaimed. "Hey, when you're a warlock, you can dig a hole in a second." Rod informed Sonic. "Well when you're not a warlock, it's not that easy." he retorted. Rod laughed. "Well I'll show you something that isn't witchcraft." he said. He dived to the ground made of soil and started to dig. Sonic watched him in interest. He'd never seen anyone dig so fast before. In five seconds he'd dug a hole about twelve inches deep. Freelance cleared his throat. "That's my floor, Rod," he said, "so don't ruin it." Rod grinned sheepishly. "Sorry," he said. He pointed to the hole and soil filled it once more. Sonic was getting dizzy with all this magic. "Ok. You know, I think Sal's calling me so..." he began. Rod nodded. "Yeah, I know. You're getting sick of this. Well, I'll put you back in Knothole." He said. Sonic nodded. Rod teleported him back to Knothole. Freelance turned to a wall. He touched a stone in the wall and a door slid open. Rod watched as a female emerged. She was an orange wolf with a robotic hand. "This is mom." Freelance said. Rod stared. He tried to remember his mother, but couldn't. "Um, hi." Rod managed to say. He was astounded. This was his mother. Rod's eyes welled up with emotion and he broke down and cried.
